A

Attenuation

The thinning of spacetime that occurs in various spots around the universe which allows for connections to other dimensions, such as the worlds of The Exoswarm or The All.

Asterstone

A crystal imbued with a mystical power that houses a bonded soul. A contract between a spirit and a Pilot is necessary for the creation of an Everai. Asterstones are what anchors that spirit to the Pilots plane of existence.

Archives

A memory "projection” of Shodai history. Archives allow for those who access it to bear witness and experience the memory stored from within.

The Ark(s)

Elaborately built city-sized ships that would shepherd Shodai to a new galaxy. Unfortunately, not all Arks escaped the Homeworld.

Cryosleep

A process in which a living individual is preserved by utilizing low temperatures. Cryosleep was a part of the Ark Protocol a necessary means to ensure the survival of Shodai younglings while they traverse through space for years to come.

E

Everai

Sworn protectors that the Shodai created through innovation of science fused with a mystical power. Everai warriors are the result of binding a soul to an Everglyph. The Everai appearance is that of robots/mechas, however they have full autonomy in their behaviors and way of thinking. The Everai work together with Shodai Pilots to strengthen their bond in order to draw out their full potential as a pairing.

Everglyph

A small, prism-shaped machine that houses an Everai. It acts as a vessel for the bonded soul within an Asterstone. An Asterstone is required for an Everglyph to function.

The Exoswarm

The otherworldly enemy that was the catalyst responsible for the end of the Homeworld. They act with a collective consciousness, aggregated together in a dark, black, unshapely form that can morph into organic-looking forms. In addition, they have the ability to corrupt and control sentient beings. Everai - Sworn protectors that the Shodai created through innovation of science fused with a mystical power. Everai warriors are the result of binding a soul to an Everglyph. The Everai appearance is that of robots/mechas, however they have full autonomy in their behaviors and way of thinking. The Everai work together with Shodai Pilots to strengthen their bond in order to draw out their full potential as a pairing.

The Great Departure

A pivotal event in Shodai history. It occurred when the Homeworld was under its final attack by an otherworldly enemy. In response, the uncompleted Ark Protocol was deployed in emergency in order to carry the citizens aboard to safety, hence the name “The Great Departure ''.

Memory Core

A crucial part of the Origin Program. It is essentially a data drive that contains a story from the past. Both Pilot and Everai experience the stories within the Memory Core as one entity, for there is a bond between the two. Those stories are referred to as Archives.

Memory fragmentation

A side effect as a result of cryostasis. The severity is on a spectrum, thus every individual experiences it differently. For some, memories are fragmented, for others, some parts forgotten.

Neo Shodais are the following generations of Shodais, born after “The Great Departure”

O

Origin Program

An academic and combative program established to train citizens into becoming licensed Pilots, alongside their Everai. This Origin Program pushes Pilots in training to their limits, both mentally and physically, in order to accurately maintain their synchronization with their Everai. The stronger the bond between Pilot and Everai, the closer they are in reaching their full potential.

Shodai

Shodais are the race of our Homeworld.
