At the very center of the Eververse are the Shodai, a hyper advanced humanoid species that hail from the planet Vikare. After millennia of factions fighting amongst each other, the entire planet eventually came together as one Shodai race and established the Shodai Alliance. This planetary cooperation led to a golden age of science, beginning with space travel capabilities that allowed them to terraform the planets of their solar system. Soon their spacefaring vehicles became so advanced the Shodai were able to travel to deep space. It was here that they discovered the Asterstones, powerful mystical gems connected to an otherworldly dimension known as “The All.” The Shodai continued to travel to various solar systems throughout the universe and spread their knowledge to multiple alien species. Eventually these planets all fell under the banner of the Shodai Alliance, a shared culture and government that was led by the Shodai High Counsel. Through all of their space travels, the Shodai never stopped working to unlock the power of the Asterstones. This resulted in an incident on the remote planet of Iso where Asterstone experiments at a top secret Shodai research facility opened a rift in spacetime and unleashed the Exoswarm, an unstoppable force of mass destruction.

In a twist of fate, the same incident on Iso that released the Exoswarm would also lead to the discovery of the Shodai’s greatest weapon against this new enemy: the Everai. Cybernetic soldiers infused with the souls of fallen warriors, the Everai and the Pilots that fought alongside them were the last line of defense against the Exoswarm invasion. While battles between the Everai and the Exoswarm raged across the galaxy, the Shodai High Counsel were busy working on a contingency plan: the Ark Program. These Arks would carry the future of the Shodai population into deep space and find a new homeworld for them to thrive on, far from the Exoswarm threat. Sages, Shodai holy men with a special connection to “The All,” were genetically enhanced to live longer and protect those aboard the Arks. Thanks to a brave battalion of Everai and Pilots on the planet Urias, the Shodai High Counsel was given enough time to launch the Arks from Vikare. As soon as the Arks were out of range, the High Counsel took it upon themselves to activate the Nova Burst: a superweapon that turned their sun into a bomb that destroyed the entire solar system. This not only destroyed the attacking Exoswarm, it acted as a defense for the Arks to make the jump to deep space without the dangers of the Exoswarm following. And in an instant, the Shodai Alliance was destroyed and a new generation of Shodai began their journey…
